Episode 48

Comoros

Comoros is an archipelago formed by 4 main volcanic islands, and many smaller ones. The plants here are so fragrant that the islands are often referred to as “the perfumed islands.” One plant contributing to this is the ylang-ylang flower, from which essential oils are extracted and used for perfume production. It is the second largest producer of vanilla, and a major producer of cloves.
